Play Parties at O’Connor Primary School provide an opportunity for children to get a head start in their schooling. Each session is coordinated by a trained Early Childhood educator and offers structured play-based, hands-on experiences. This is a great environment for young children to establish play routines, develop speech and language, practise social skills (e.g. sharing and taking turns), make new friends and become familiar with the school. Parents and carers are also able to establish a link to the school community, build contacts with other parents and have the opportunity to seek advice from local parenting support agencies.
