iPad Program for Year 4 students
The iPad progam started in 2015 when the children were in Year 3. We have choosen Year 3 as this year level represents smaller class numbers before moving into middle schooling. As the children enter Year 4 the learning will be extended and children will have the opportunity to learn from a wider range of sources, explore a wider range of technologies and show deeper reflection on their learning and goal alignment. The children will use the selected device for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. A list of reccomended apps is included for parent information.
Please see this short video on the importance of an iPad program.

A parent agreement must be signed so that student iPads can be added to the school network. Please return to school as soon as possible.

For purchase options of iPads please visit out iPad information page.

Room 26 Mrs Courtney Scuderi

About the teacher -
Welcome to Room 26 for 2017! My name is Mrs Scuderi and I will be teaching year 4 this year. I started at O’Connor Primary School in Semester 2 last year where I took on the role as the Senior HaSS Specialist (you may remember me as Miss Boyd). I moved from Perth with my now husband and have loved the time I have spent in Kalgoorlie so far. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, scrapbooking, card making, bike riding and spending time with family and friends. This year I am looking forward to getting to know all the year 4 students a bit more. I am also excited to work with your children to achieve great things in their learning. You are welcome to come in and have a chat at any time, my door is always open. If you are wanting a more in-depth conversation about your child please contact me for a suitable time to be arranged. I look forward to meeting you throughout the year.

I cannot wait to start teaching your children.
Parent/teacher meetings can be arranged by phoning or
emailing the school to make an appointment.

About the teacher -

Welcome to Year 4 and the 2017 school year! I am your child’s teacher in room 28, Mrs Branch.

I am new to Kalgoorlie and am excited to be teaching at O’Connor Primary School. I am enjoying living in Kalgoorlie and being a part of such a welcoming school and local community. Out of school hours I enjoy walking my dog and a variety of craft activities. I also love reading, spending time with friends and camping. I’m eager to get to know you and your child and look forward to working together to support and guide them through year 4. This year, I aim to create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to confidently try their best in all areas of the curriculum, as well as further developing their responsibility, resilience and independence.

I am available most mornings and afternoons for a quick chat, however if you feel you would like a little more time, please contact the school to arrange an appointment by emailing or calling the school to arrange a time for a meeting and please ensure you have the Skoolbag application on your smart phone to contact us when your child is unable to attend school.
