Clubs Program - Students in Years 4 to 6 particpate in a clubs program every Friday afternoon between 1.50pm and 2.40pm. The aim of the clubs program is to provide an opportunity for students to develop team work, communication skills and self-esteem. There is a variety of clubs available to students and a small fee of $15 per year helps to provide consumables and other equipment that may be needed. Please send the money to the classroom teacher as soon as possible.

iPad Program for Year 4 students
The iPad progam started in 2015 when the children were in Year 3. We have choosen Year 3 as this year level represents smaller class numbers before moving into middle schooling. As the children enter Year 4 the learning will be extended and children will have the opportunity to learn from a wider range of sources, explore a wider range of technologies and show deeper reflection on their learning and goal alignment. The children will use the selected device for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. A list of reccomended apps is included for parent information.
Please see this short video on the importance of an iPad program.

A parent agreement must be signed so that student iPads can be added to the school network. Please return to school as soon as possible.

For purchase options of iPads please visit out iPad information page.

Room 26 Mrs Courtney Scuderi

About the teacher -

Welcome to Room 26 in 2018! My name is Mrs Scuderi and this year I will be teaching Year 4. This is my second year teaching in Year 4 after previously doing various roles around the school.

I moved from Perth to Kalgoorlie in July 2016 with my husband and pets. Since arriving in Kalgoorlie I have enjoyed taking part in sporting clubs and seeing what historical sights Kalgoorlie has to offer. In my spare time I enjoy playing netball, cooking, doing many crafts and spending time with my family and friends.

This year I am looking forward to getting to know all the Year 4 students especially those in Room 26. I am excited to work with your child to develop their knowledge in all areas of the curriculum. I encourage students to try their best to achieve their best when learning. I cannot wait to start teaching your children.

Parent/teacher meetings can be arranged by phoning or

Room 11 -  Kellie Harring

About the teacher -

Hello and welcome to another wonderful year at O’Connor Primary School!

My name is Kellie Harring and I am delighted to be teaching Year 4 in Room 11 this year. I have previously taught Year 1 for a number of years as well as Year 3 last year, and I am looking forward to teaching some previous students! I am a born and bred Kalgoorlie girl and this will be my fifth year teaching here at O’Connor Primary. During my spare time I enjoy travelling, playing netball and socialising with friends and family. My aim this year is to create a classroom environment that is safe and supportive, where students feel comfortable to be themselves, become independent and strive to achieve their personal best. I can’t wait to get to know you and your child and look forward to sharing an exciting time in Year 4, especially with the BYOD program. I believe communication is important and therefore encourage parents/caregivers to have a quick chat with me before or after school.

Parent/teacher meetings can be arranged by phoning or emailing the school to make an appointment.
